Effect of Acetylcysteine Combined with Salmeteroticasone on Serum PCT and Lung Function in Stable COPD Patients
Objective To analyze the effects of acetylcysteine and salmeteroticasone on serum procalcitonin(PCT)and lung function in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A total of 100 patients with stable COPD admitted to the Qianxian Bouyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Maternal and Child Health Hos-pital of from January 2021 to November 2023 were simple randomly selected as the study subjects, and were divided into control group(n=50,treated with salmeteroticasone alone)and observation group(n=50,treated with acetyl cyste-ine and salmeteroticasone combined)according to random number table method.Treatment efficiency, symptom resolu-tion time,PCT and serum interleukin level, lung function and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The treatment efficiency of observation group was 90.00%,which was higher than 74.00% of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.336,P=0.037).The disappearance time of cough symptom, sputum symptom, shortness of breath symptom and dry and wet rales in observation group were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the level of PCT,interleukin-6 and interleukin-8 in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the maximum voluntary ventilation, forced vital capacity and peak expiratory flow in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the course of clinical treatment of stable COPD patients, the combination of acetylcys-teine and salmeteroticasone has a definite effect, which can accelerate the disappearance of symptoms,down-regulate the expression of PCT and serum interleukin, reduce lung function injury, and no serious adverse drug reactions, with high safety.
