Effect of Montelukast Sodium on Relieving Clinical Symptoms of Children with Asthmatic Bronchitis
Objective To analyze the effects of montelukast sodium on symptom resolution time,laboratory indicators and complications of children with asthmatic bronchitis during treatment.Methods A total of 80 children with asth-matic bronchitis treated in Beijing Shunyi District Hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects,and the children were divided into observation group and control group according to the differ-ences in clinical treatment plans,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with budesonide,while the observation group was treated with montelukast sodium.The time of symptom resolution,laboratory indexes and complication rate were compared between the two groups.Results The duration of cough relief[(5.91±1.16)d],the du-ration of wet rale disappearance[(6.26±1.03)d],the duration of wheezing[(5.46±0.86)d]and the duration of wheezing disappearance[(4.53±0.87)d]in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=3.679,7.679,7.375,8.426,all P<0.05).After treatment,the relevant laboratory indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion During the treatment of children with asthmatic bronchitis,montelukast sodium can effectively improve the clinical treatment effect of children,shorten the time for clinical symptoms to resolve,and effectively reduce the complications of children after treatment,thus pro-moting the rapid recovery of children.
