Predictive Value of Amplitude-integrated Electroencephalogram Param-eters Combined with Blood Gas Indicator Analysis in Assessing Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy
Objective To assess the predictive value of amplitude-integrated electroencephalogram parameters com-bined with blood gas index analysis for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Methods The clinical data of 35 children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical College from April 2018 to December 2022 were retrospectively selected as the observation group, while the data of 57 normal children were selected as the control group.ROC curves were used to assess the predictive value of amplitude-integrated electroen-cephalogram combined with blood gas analysis for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. Results The upper boundary of the wave band, the lower boundary of the wave band, the partial pressure of oxygen of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the partial pressure of carbon dioxide of the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05),and the pH and bicarbon-ate levels of the two groups of children were compared, and the differences were not statistically significant(both P>0.05).The maximum AUC of the combined test in the ROC curve was 0.969,and its diagnostic efficiency is the high-est.Conclusion Amplitude-integrated electroencephalogram parameters combined with blood gas analysis indexes can effectively predict the condition of children with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, which is conducive to the timely implementation of appropriate clinical treatment.
