Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Technique on Symptoms and Cognitive Function in Schizophrenic Patients
Objective To analyze the effects of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on symptoms and cognitive function in schizophrenic patients. Methods Eighty-two schizophrenic patients treated in Fujian Ningde Rehabilita-tion Hospital from March 2021 to January 2024 were conveniently selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the method of randomized number table, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was given basic medication, and the observation group underwent repetitive transcranial mag-netic stimulation on the basis of the control group, comparing the psychiatric symptoms, cognitive function and social function of the two groups at different treatment times. Results After treatment, the mental symptoms score of the ob-servation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the cognitive function score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the total score of social function scale in the observation group was(40.12±4.78)points,which was higher than(35.93±6.27)points in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=3.402,P=0.001).Conclusion Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation technique can im-prove the effect of controlling psychiatric symptoms in schizophrenic patients, and it is favorable to the improvement of cognitive function as well as social function of patients.
