Effect of Intensive Nursing Intervention on the Incidence of Nosocomial In-fection and Compliance Rate of Hand Hygiene in Severe Hospitalized Pa-tients
Objective To explore the effect of intensive nursing intervention on the incidence of nosocomial infection and hand hygiene compliance in severe hospitalized patients. Methods A total of 90 critically ill hospitalized patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Jinchang People's Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into two groups with 45 cases in each group using the 1:1 ratio method. The reference group carried out routine nursing intervention, and the study group carried out intensive nursing intervention on the in-cidence of nosocomial infection. The rate of hand hygiene compliance, incidence of nosocomial infection and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The hand hygiene compliance rate of the study group was 93.33%,which was higher 80.00%that of the reference group, the difference was statistically significant(x2=6.117,P=0.046).The incidence of nosocomial infection in the study group was 2.22%,which was lower than that in the refer-ence group(11.11%),but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The quality of life score of the study group was higher than that of the reference group, and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of intensive nursing intervention on the incidence of nosocomial infection in severe hospitalized patients can provide more high-quality nursing measures, and can actively improve hand hy-giene compliance, thus reducing or avoiding nosocomial infection events and improving patients'quality of life.
