Effects of Personalized Comfort Nursing in Operating Room on Periopera-tive Vital Signs,Anxiety and Depression,Pain and Sleep Quality in Pa-tients Undergoing Radical Thyroidectomy
Objective To investigate the effects of personalized comfort nursing combined with routine nursing inter-vention on vital signs,anxiety and depression,pain and sleep quality in patients undergoing radical thyroidectomy.Methods A total of 149 patients treated in Nanjing Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Nanjing Second Hospital)from January 2021 to May 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects.They were divided into two groups according to random number table method.The control group(n=75)was treated with perioperative routine nursing intervention,and the observation group(n=74)was treated with routine nursing in-tervention combined with perioperative personalized comfort nursing intervention in operating room.The vital signs(heart rate,systolic blood pressure),adverse mood(scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale),pain degree(scores of Visual Analog Scale)and sleep quality(scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index)of the two groups were compared.Results 15 min before surgery,the heart rate(86.57±4.34)times/min and systolic blood pressure(129.51±6.52)mmHg in the observation group were lower than those in the control group[(92.95±5.52)times/min and(134.23±5.36)mmHg],and the differences were statistically significant(t=7.848,4.830,both P<0.05).After nursing,anxiety and depression scores of both groups were significantly decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).On the 1st,2nd and 3rd day af-ter operation,the pain scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).On the 1st,2nd and 3rd day after operation,the sleep quality score of the ob-servation group were lower than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion Patients undergoing radical thyroidectomy receive personalized comfort nursing care in the perioperative period,which can improve perioperative vital signs,relieve anxiety,depression and postoperative pain,and improve sleep quality.
