Effect Analysis Of Evidence-based Nursing in Elderly Patients Undergoing Hernia Surgery
Objective To explore the effectiveness of evidence-based nursing in the care of elderly patients undergo-ing hernia surgery. Methods 82 elderly patients with hernia admitted to Tengzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hos-pital from October 2022 to October 2023 were randomly divided into a control group(n=41,routine care)and a study group(n=41,evidence-based care)using a random number table method.Perioperative indicators, negative emotion scores, and incidence of complications were compared. Results The study group had shorter exhaust time(20.29±1.36)h,eating time(24.57±1.52)h,and postoperative bedtime(1.15±0.38)d compared to the control group, the differ-ence was statistically significant(all P<0.05).The anxiety(32.56±3.43)points and depression(30.82±3.72)points of the study group were lower than those of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(both P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the study group was 4.88%lower than that in the control group, which was 21.96%,the difference was statistically significant(x2=5.145,P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing evidence-based nursing for elderly patients undergoing hernia surgery can alleviate their negative emotions, reduce surgical related complications, promote early recovery of the body, and shorten the time for postoperative recovery.
