Clinical Effect of Trans-nasal High-flow Oxygen Therapy for Acute Exac-erbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Objective To explore the clinical effect of trans-nasal high-flow oxygen therapy in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)patients. Methods 150 AECOPD patients admitted to Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University from June to December 2022 were prospective simple randomly selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the method of random number table,75 cases each. The control group was given non-invasive ventilator treatment, and the observation group was given trans-nasal high-flow oxygen therapy. The vital signs, blood gas indexes, pulmonary function, quality of life scores and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The respiratory rate, heart rate, arterial blood carbon dioxide partial pressure of the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the control group, and the arterial blood oxygen partial pressure and blood oxygen saturation were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The forced expiratory volume in first second and force vital capacity of the observation group were higher than those of the control group after treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The scores of physiological func-tion,role function, mental health, social and cognitive function of the observation group after treatment were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of ad-verse reactions in the observation group(4.00%)was lower than that in the control group(17.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.996,P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of AECOPD,trans-nasal high-flow oxy-gen therapy can improve lung function, blood gas indexes, and quality of life.
