Effects of Two Kinds of Doses of Budesonide Aerosol Therapy on Symp-toms and Lung Function in Children with Bronchial Asthma
Objective To study the effects of two kinds of doses of budesonide aerosol therapy on the symptoms and lung function of children with bronchial asthma. Methods Fifty children with bronchial asthma admitted to Fuqing Hospital in Fujian Province from June 2022 to June 2023 were simple randomly selected as the study objects, and were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with twenty-five cases in each group. The control group was given low dose budesonide(0.5 mg)and the observation group was given high dose budesonide(1.0 mg).The control of asthma symptoms, lung function, immune status and safety of aerosol medication were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of daytime and nighttime asthma symptoms in the observa-tion group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The pulmonary function index and the number and percentage of peripheral blood regulatory T cells in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group(12.00%)and the control group(4.00%)(χ2=0.271,P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with low dose, high dose budesonide aerosol treatment can effectively control the symptoms of children with bronchial asthma, improve their lung function and im-mune status, and ensure the safety of medication.
