Impact of Extended Care Oriented by Behavior Change Theory on the Quality of Life of Elderly Female Urinary Incontinence Patients
Objective To investigate the effect of extended care oriented by behavior change theory on the quality of life of elderly female urinary incontinence patients.Methods 116 cases of elderly female urinary incontinence patients admitted to Sihong Hospital during February to June 2023 were conveniently selected as the study subjects,and the patients were divided into the conventional group(n=57)and the study group(n=59)according to the method of ran-domized number table,and were treated with conventional extended nursing care and the extended nursing care ori-ented by behavior change theory,respectively.Observe the application effect of different nursing measures.Results After the intervention,the scores in the quality of life scale[physiological(30.21±2.14)points,psychological(27.07±1.45)points,social relations(13.14±1.07)points,and environmental domain(37.14±1.94)points]of the patients in the study group were higher than those in the conventional group,and the differences were statistically significant(t=2.624,2.881,2.214,2.101,all P<0.05).The scores of the International Urinary Incontinence Questionnaire in the study group was lower than that of the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of the Health Self-management Ability Measurement Scale for Adults in the study group was higher than that in the conventional group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Extended care ori-ented by behavior change theory can improve the quality of life and incontinence control of elderly female urinary in-continence patients,and improve the patients'self-management ability.
