The Clinical Value of Exploring the Application of Respiratory Muscle Training in The Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syn-drome
Objective Study the clinical effect of respiratory muscle training on patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods A total of 106 OSAHS patients from the outpatient department of Changshu First People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were conveniently selected as the research subjects and divided into two groups with 53 cases in each group by digital table method. The control group(using conventional treatment plans such as weight loss and exercise)and the study group(conducting respiratory muscle training on the basis of conventional treatment)were given 8-week treatment.Compare the sleepiness[assessed by the Epworth Sleepiness Scale(ESS)]and lung volume and function,as well as sleep monitoring, before and after treatment in the two groups of patients. Results After 8 weeks of treatment, the ESS score of the study group was(6.75±2.05)points,which was lower than(10.05±2.46)points of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(t=7.502,P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the study lung volume and function index was higher than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment, the apnea time,lon-gest hypopnea time, sleep apnea hypopnea index and micro-awakening times of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the lowest oxygen saturation was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of OSAHS patients, combined respiratory muscle training can help patients recover lung function, improve the symptoms of apnea and hypopnea, improve the sleep quality of patients, and has certain curative effect.
