Analysis of Clinical Value of Endoscopic Mucosal Resection for the Treat-ment of Gastrointestinal Polyps
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of using endoscopic mucosal resection in the treatment of gas-trointestinal polyps in the clinic. Methods Seventy patients with gastrointestinal polyps admitted to Xinglin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January to December 2023 were randomly selected as study ob-jects.They were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, with 35 cases in each group. The reference group used endoscopic electrodessication, the observation group used endoscopic mucosal resection. The polyp one-time clearance rate, inflammatory factor level and complication occurrence and recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The one-time polyp removal rate of the observation group(97.14%)was higher than that of the reference group(82.86%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=3.968,P<0.05).Preopera-tively,the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were compared, and the difference was not statistically sig-nificant(P>0.05);postoperatively,the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were elevated, but the observa-tion group was lower than the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the reference group, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the observation group(2.86%)was lower than that of the reference group(17.14%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with endoscopic elec-troresection,endoscopic mucosal resection for gastrointestinal polyps can effectively improve the polyp one-time clear-ance rate, reduce the incidence of complications, less trauma to tissues, lower long-term recurrence rate, and higher clinical value.
