Comparison of the Efficacy of Flexible Ureteroscopic Lithotripsy and Per-cutaneous Nephrolithotomy in the Treatment of Renal Calculi Less than 3 cm in Diameter
Objective To analyze the value of flexible ureteroscopic lithotripsy in the treatment of renal calculi less than 3 cm in diameter. Methods A total of 245 patients with renal calculi admitted to Taicang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to December 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects. They were divided into two groups by random number table method.123 cases in the study group were treated with flexible ure-teroscopic lithotripsy, and 122 cases in the control group were treated with percutaneous nephrolithotomy. The surgi-cal indexes, inflammatory factor levels, renal function indexes and quality of life scores of the two groups were com-pared.Results The intraoperative blood loss of the study group was(9.28±2.36)mL,the operation time was(103.67±9.26)min,and the hospitalization time was(4.15±1.24)d,which were better than those of the control group, the differ-ences were statistically significant(t=43.020,16.792,11.947,all P<0.05).After operation, the level of inflammatory factors in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the level of renal function was better than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05),and the quality of life score in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Flex-ible ureteroscopic lithotripsy for renal calculi below 3 cm in diameter can reduce the trauma of surgery to the body,al-leviate the inflammatory response, promote the recovery of renal function and improve the quality of life.
