Efficacy of Huoxue Shenggu Decoction in the Treatment of Patients with Osteoporotic Distal Radius Fracture and its Effect on Wrist Joint Function
Objective To investigate the efficacy of Huoxue Shenggu Decoction in the treatment of patients with osteo-porotic distal radius fracture(ODRF)and its effect on wrist function.Methods A total of 100 patients with ODRF ad-mitted to Yongchun County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Quanzhou City from July 2021 to July 2023 were randomly selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to the ran-dom number table method,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting treatment,and the observation group was supplemented with Huoxue Shenggu Decoction on the basis of the control group.The therapeutic effect,fracture healing and wrist function of the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group(94.00%)was higher than that in the control group(78.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.315,P=0.021).The scores of Radiographic Scoring System at 4 and 8 weeks after treatment in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the time of frac-ture healing and detumescence was shorter than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of each item(pain,grip strength,activity and functional status)in the Cooney score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P＜0.05).Conclusion The auxiliary treatment of Huoxue Shenggu Decoction can promote the recovery of ODRF patients,accelerate fracture healing,and effectively improve the wrist function of patients.
