Effect of Anterolateral Thigh Free Flap Repair on Foot Skin and Soft Tis-sue Defect and Its Influence on Flap Survival Rate
Objective To explore the clinical effect of anterolateral femoral free flap in the treatment of foot skin and soft tissue defects. Methods A total of 120 patients with foot skin and soft tissue defects in Yifu Hospital affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from July 2018 to August 2023 were prospective simple randomly selected as the study ob-jects and divided into two groups with 60 cases each by different treatment methods. The control group received con-ventional treatment, and the observation group received anterolateral free thigh flap repair. The survival rate of skin flap, the incidence of vascular crisis and the score of foot function were compared between the two groups. Results The survival rate of skin flap in observation group[96.67%(58/60)]was higher than that in control group[81.67%(49/60)],the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.988,P=0.008).The incidence of vascular crisis in observation group[3.33%(2/60)]was lower than that in control group[16.67%(10/60)],and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=5.926,P=0.015).After 1 and 3 months of treatment, the foot function scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The anterolateral thigh free skin flap can improve the survival rate of skin flap, reduce the incidence of vascular crisis and improve the function of foot.
