Analysis of the Effect of Compound Nursing Intervention on Incidence of Lymphedema after Breast Cancer Surgery
Objective To analyze the value of compound nursing intervention in postoperative rehabilitation of breast cancer patients. Methods The clinical data of 103 breast cancer patients admitted to the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College from January to December 2023 were retrospectively selected. The pa-tients were divided into observation group and control group according to different nursing methods. The control group(n=51)received routine nursing intervention, and the observation group(n=52)received compound nursing interven-tion.The incidence of lymphedema, volume of lymphedema, upper limb function and self-care ability were compared between patients in two groups. Results The incidence of lymphedema in the observation group[5.77%(3/52)]was lower than that in the control group[19.61%(10/51)],and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.471,P<0.05).The volume of lymphedema in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group at 1 month,2 months and 3 months after operation, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The upper limb function score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the self-care ability was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The comprehen-sive nursing intervention measures in the postoperative rehabilitation of abdominal breast cancer can reduce the vol-ume of edema, reduce the incidence of lymphedema, and achieve the purpose of improving upper limb function and self-care ability, which is worthy of clinical reference.
