The Effect of Irradiation Platelet Preservation Time on Transfusion Re-sponse
Objective To investigate the effect of irradiation platelet preservation time on the incidence of transfusion reactions. Methods A total of 105 patients with blood diseases who were transfused in Dongtai People's Hospital from January 2020 to August 2023 were conveniently selected as the study subjects.According to different preservation times, the preservation time of n1 group(35 cases)preservation time was 1 day, that of n2 group(35 cases)preserva-tion time was 3 days, and that of n3 group(35 cases)was 5 days. The effective rate, incidence of adverse reactions, and changes in immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM),immunoglobulin A(IgA)and C-reactive protein(CRP)of the 3 groups were compared before and after transfusion. Results The effective rate of n1 group was 90.77%(59/65),which was higher than that of n2 group 84.13%(53/63)and n3 group 74.60%(47/63),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=1.764,P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in n1 group was 5.71%(2/35),which was lower than 14.29%(5/35)in n2 group and 22.86%(8/35)in n3 group, and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=4.201,P<0.05).Before blood transfusion, there was no statistically significant difference in IgG,IgM,IgA,CRP among the 3 groups(all P>0.05);after blood transfusion,IgG,IgM,IgA,CRP among the 3 groups were higher than be-fore blood transfusion, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in immune and inflammatory response among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion During the preservation period, the shorter the storage time, the better the effect and the lower the incidence of transfusion reaction.
