Study on the Clinical Efficacy of Moxifloxacin Combined with Azithromy-cin in the Treatment of Adult Mycoplasma Pneumonia
Objective This study evaluates the clinical effectiveness of combining moxifloxacin with azithromycin ver-sus using moxifloxacin alone in treating adult mycoplasma pneumonia. Methods A total of 153 adult patients with my-coplasma pneumonia admitted to Zunyi Bozhou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2023 to March 2024 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group(n=76)and observation group(n=77)by different treatment methods. The control group was treated with moxifloxacin, while the observation group was treated with azithromycin on this basis. The clinical effects, lung function indexes and symptom regression time of the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 94.81%(73/77),which was higher than 82.89%(63/76)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.494,P<0.05).After treatment, the forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in the first second and peak expi-ratory flow of the two groups were significantly increased, and the observation group were higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The time of lung shadow disappearance, fever disap-pearance,cough disappearance and hospitalization in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical efficacy of moxifloxacin combined with azithromycin in the treatment of adult mycoplasma pneumonia is better, which can improve lung func-tion and shorten the disappearance time of clinical symptoms.
