The Clinical Effect of Using Modified Buyang Huanwu Decoction to Treat Diabetes Arthralgia of Qiyin Deficiency Type
Objective To explore the clinical value of Buyang Huanwu Decoction in the treatment of diabetic arthral-gia with deficiency of both qi and yin.Methods From April 2021 to April 2023,80 patients with diabetes arthralgia of Qiyin deficiency type were simple randomly selected from Weifang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.The pa-tients were divided into control group and observation group by different treatment methods,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion.The observation group was treated with Buy-ang Huanwu Decoction on the basis of the control group.The traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,the degree of diabetic peripheral neuropathy,the effective rate of treatment and the nerve conduction velocity were compared be-tween the two groups.Results After treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).After treat-ment,the Michigan Diabetic Neuropathy Score(MDNS)in the observation group was lower than that in the control group.The MDNS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).After treatment,the motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)of median nerve and common peroneal nerve in the observation group were higher than those in the control group.The MNCV and SNCV of median nerve and common peroneal nerve in the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(all P＜0.05).The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group[100.00%(40/40)]was higher than that in the control group[85.00%(34/40)],and the differ-ence was statistically significant(χ2=4.505,P=0.034).Conclusion In the treatment of diabetes arthralgia with defi-ciency of both qi and yin,Buyang Huanwu Decoction can be selected for treatment.The clinical effect is remarkable,which can improve the nerve conduction velocity and improve the curative effect.
