Clinical Effect Analysis of Total Knee Arthroplasty in the Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of total knee arthroplasty(TKA)in the treatment of knee osteoar-thritis(KOA).Methods 90 patients with KOA admitted to Fengxian People's Hospital form December 2021 to Decem-ber 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. The control group(45 cases)received monondylar replacement treatment, and the observation group(45 cases)received TKA treatment.Surgical indexes, pain mediators, knee function and complications were compared be-tween the two groups. Results The operation time of the observation group was(57.22±5.13)min,the time of getting out of bed after operation was(4.02±1.33)d and the time of hospitalization was(12.68±2.51)d,which were shorter than that of the control group(70.56±7.48)min,(5.12±2.10)d and(15.46±3.12)d,the differences were statistically significant(t=9.866,2.969,4.657,all P<0.05).One months after surgery, the knee flexion and extension motion of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the level of pain mediators was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Three months after operation, the knee func-tion score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups[4.44%(2/45)vs 11.11%(5/45)](χ2=0.620,P>0.05).Conclusion TKA is effective in the treatment of KOA,with obvious im-provement of knee joint function and pain, less complications and faster recovery.
