Therapeutic Effect of Midazolam+Mechanical Ventilation on Severe Teta-nus
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of midazolam+mechanical ventilation in patients with severe tetanus.Methods A total of 50 patients with severe tetanus admitted to Jinan Third People's Hospital from July 2018 to July 2023 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into reference group and study group,with 25 cases in each group.The reference group was treated with magnesium sul-fate and other conventional treatment,and the study group was treated with midazolam+mechanical ventilation on the basis of the reference group.The total effective rate,pain and complications of the two groups were compared.Results The total response rate in the study group was[96.00%(24/25)]was higher than the reference group[68.00%(17/25)],and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.878,P<0.05).After treatment,the pain score of the study group(1.25±0.33)points was lower than that of the reference group(3.19±0.38)points,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(t=19.273,P<0.05).The overall rate of complications in the study group was lower than the reference group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with severe tetanus,the implementation of midazolam drugs combined with mechanical ventilation therapy can improve the clini-cal efficacy of patients with severe tetanus,and effectively alleviate the pain degree of patients,with high safety.
