Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Levocetirizine Dihydrochoride Com-bined with Montelukast Sodium in the Treatment of Allergic Cough in Children
Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy of levocetirizine dihydrochoride combined with montelukast so-dium in the treatment of allergic cough in children. Methods A total of 62 children with allergic cough admitted to the Department of Children'S Health Care of Zhangpu County Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects. The children were divided into the control group and the study group according to the difference treatment methods, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with montelukast sodium, and the study group was treated with levocetirizine dihydrochoride on this basis. The clinical efficacy, adverse reactions, cough scores and immune indexes were compared between the two groups. Results the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of complement 3(C3)and total immunoglobulin A(IgA)in the study group were higher than those in the control group, while the total immunoglobulin E(IgE)level was lower than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The combined use of montelukast so-dium and levocetirizine hydrochloride during the treatment of children with allergic cough can help improve the clini-cal efficacy, relieve the cough symptoms of children, and help regulate the body's immunity.
