Objective To explore the effect of carbetocin on preventive postpartum hemorrhage in gestational hyperten-sion patients after cesarean section.Methods The clinical data of 88 patients with gestational hypertension after admit-ted to Quanzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital·Children's Hospital from March 2022 to August 2023 were retro-spectively selected and divided into two groups with 44 cases in each group according to the differences in the preven-tive medication methods for postpartum hemorrhage.The conventional group was given traditional oxytocin.The obser-vation group was given carbetocin.Postpartum hemorrhage,24 h postnatal hemoglobin reduction and adverse reactions were analyzed and compared between the two groups.Results The postpartum bleeding at 24 h in the observation group was(567.24±32.21)mL,and the decrease of hemoglobin at 24 h after delivery was(10.24±1.36)g/L,which were lower than that in the conventional group(732.24±64.24)mL,(19.24±2.50)g/L,the differences were statistically significant(t=12.341,12.540,both P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.55%(2/44),lower than that in the conventional group 18.18%(8/44),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.602,P<0.05).Conclusion The application of carbetocin is effective in the patients with gestational hyperten-sion,and has a better effect on preventing postpartum hemorrhage after cesarean section,which can guarantee the smooth delivery of parturients.
