Analysis of the Effect of Metronidazole Suppository Intervention on Hor-mone Levels in Cervical Cancer Patients with Vaginitis After Chemo-therapy
Objective To analyze the effect of metronidazole suppository intervention on hormone levels in cervical cancer patients with vaginitis after chemotherapy. Methods A total of 100 patients with vaginitis after chemotherapy for cervical cancer admitted to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Sihong Fenjinting Hospital from De-cember 2022 to December 2023 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional irrigation, and the observation group was treated with metronidazole suppository. The cura-tive effect, hormone content and quality of life before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 98.00%(49/50),which was higher than 80.00%(40/50)in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=8.274,P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of estradiol and plasma follicle stimulating hormone in the observation group were higher than those in the con-trol group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of quality of life of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Metronidazole suppositories have a good therapeutic effect on patients with vaginitis after cervical cancer chemotherapy, and can effectively improve their hormone levels and quality of life.
