Effect of Non-nutritive Sucking Combined with Touching Intervention on Pain Degree and Crying of Newborns with Heel Blood Collection
Objective To explore the effect of non-nutritive sucking combined with touching intervention on neonates with heel blood collection. Methods A total of 116 children admitted to Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital Bijie Hospital from March 2022 to July 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects and divided into control group and observation group according to different methods, with 58 cases in each group. The control group was given touch intervention, and the observation group was given non-nutritive sucking intervention on the basis of the control group. The blood collection related indexes, pain degree, and family nursing satisfaction were compared between in children two groups. Results The blood collection time was(81.46±12.77)s and crying time was(84.33±14.78)s in the observation group were shorter than(94.11±13.28)s and(135.79±20.46)s in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The pain score of the observation group was(2.46±1.14)points,which was lower than the control group's(4.03±1.88)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of family members in observation group was 96.55%(56/58),which was higher than 82.76%(48/58)of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.949,P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of non-nutritive sucking combined with touching intervention in neonates with heel blood collection is significant, which can significantly shorten the time of blood collection, reduce the degree of neonatal pain, and help to improve the nurs-ing satisfaction of neonatal family members.
