Study on the Efficacy and Blood Lipid Levels of Atorvastatin Adjuvant Therapy in Elderly Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and blood lipid levels of atorvastatin adjuvant therapy in the treatment of elderly acute cerebral infarction. Methods The clinical data of 68 elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction ad-mitted to the Department of Neurology of Shanghai Zhongye Hospital from November 2021 to October 2023 were retro-spectively selected and divided into two groups according to different treatment methods, with 34 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with atorvastatin calcium on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, blood lipid level and functional recovery indexes of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of ad-verse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,The triglyceride(1.01±0.23)mmol/L,total choles-terol(3.06±0.31)mmol/L and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(2.16±0.39)mmol/L in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(1.44±0.37)mmol/L,(4.85±0.57)mmol/L and(3.89±0.48)mmol/L,high density lipoprotein cholesterol(1.91±0.72)mmol/L was higher than that of control group(1.33±0.55)mmol/L,the differences were statistically significant(t=5.755,16.086,16.311,3.797,all P<0.001).After treatment, the neurological function score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the ability of daily living was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of atorvas-tatin adjuvant therapy in elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction is remarkable, which can improve blood lipid level and promote the recovery of nerve and life ability of patients.
