Analysis of the Therapeutic Effect of Shen Shi Tong Wan after Extracorpo-real Shock Wave Lithotripsy
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Shen Shi Tong Wan after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL).Methods 600 patients with ESWL in the Beijing Aerospace General Hospital from April 2022 to April 2023 were prospective randomly selected and divided into two groups according to different medication methods,with 300 cases in each group.The control group was treated with cefixime,observation group was treated with cefox-ime+Shen Shi Tong Wan.Compare the effectiveness,stone removal time,pain Visual Analogue Score(VAS),and com-plications between two groups.Results The effective rate and stone clearance rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The stone clear-ance time of the observation group(8.23±2.03)d was shorter than that of the control group(10.57±2.18)d,and the dif-ference was statistically significant(t=13.606,P<0.05).The VAS scores of the observation group at 6 h,1 d and 3 d af-ter extracorporeal lithotripsy were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of complications(renal colic,lower urinary tract irritation,hematuria,stone up-ward movement,infection,perforation)in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of Shen Shi Tong Wan after ESWL has sig-nificant effects,promoting stone expulsion,relieving pain,and preventing complications.
