The Effect of Nasal High Flow Oxygen Therapy on Lung Function,Respi-ratory Muscles, and Prognosis in Patients with Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Eisease
Objective To explore the effect of nasal high-flow humidified oxygen therapy in patients with acute exacer-bation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with AECOPD admitted to Zhangzhou Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2020 to December 2023 were ret-rospectively selected analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into study group and con-trol group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received conventional oxygen therapy, and the study group received nasal humidification high-flow oxygen therapy. The vital signs, blood gas indexes, comfort and adverse reac-tions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of treatment in the study group was 98.00%(49/50)higher than that in the control group 86.00%(43/50),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.891,P<0.05).After treatment, the lung function level of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the respiratory rate, heart rate and blood pressure of the study group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treatment, the blood gas index level of the study group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test and comfort status scale in the study group were better than those in the control group, and the differ-ences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with tra-ditional oxygen therapy, nasal high-flow oxygen inhalation has better application effect in AECOPD patients, with im-proved lung function, improved blood gas index level, and fewer adverse reactions.
