Effect of Sequential Azithromycin Therapy on Children with Mycoplasma Pneumonia
Objective To analyze the effect of azithromycin sequential therapy in the treatment of children with myco-plasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP).Methods A total of 274 children with MPP admitted to Wuwei Liangzhou Hos-pital from August 2022 to August 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects.According to different treat-ment schemes,they were divided into control group and study group,with 137 cases in each group.The control group was treated with injection of erythromycin lactobionate,and the study group was treated with azithromycin sequential therapy.The clinical efficacy,symptom disappearance time,lung function,inflammatory factor levels,and adverse re-actions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was 97.08%(133/137),which was higher than 89.05%(122/137)of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=6.843,P<0.05).The disappearance time of cough,wheezing,fever,pulmonary rales and chest tightness in the study group was shorter than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in lung function between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the level of lung function in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the levels of inflammatory factors between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the level of inflammatory factors in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse effects between the two groups,the difference was no statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Azithromycin se-quential therapy in the treatment of children with MPP is beneficial to the improvement of lung function,reduce the in-flammatory response,shorten the disappearance time of symptoms,and have fewer adverse reactions.
