Analysis of the Current Situation and Influencing Factors of Neonatal Medical Vomiting
Objective To explore the current situation and influencing factors of neonatal medical vomiting, and to pro-vide reference for the prevention and treatment of this disease. Methods The clinical data of 214 eligible newborns ad-mitted to Leshan People's Hospital from May 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively selected.According to the presence or absence of medical vomiting, the newborns were divided into vomiting group(23 cases)and non-vomiting group(191 cases). The gestational age, sex, birth age, delivery mode, birth weight and feeding mode of the neonates in the vomiting group and the non-vomiting group were compared.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of neonatal medical vomiting. Results There were significant differences in gestational age, birth age, delivery mode and birth weight between the two groups(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in gender and feeding methods between the two groups(P>0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that gestational age, birth age, delivery mode and birth weight were the influencing factors for neonatal medical vomiting(OR=2.535,2.302,1.974,2.186,all P<0.05).Conclusion Preterm birth, birth age≤24 h,cesarean section, and low birth weight are more likely to cause medical vomiting.Observation and evaluation should be strengthened, and early detection and reasonable treatment should be performed. The prognosis of children is generally good.
