Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Memantine Combined with Quetiapine Fu-marate in the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease with Mental and Behav-ioral Disorders
Objective To explore the effect of memantine combined with quetiapine fumarate in the treatment of Al-zheimer's disease patients with mental and behavioral disorders.Methods From January 2021 to January 2023,100 patients with Alzheimer's disease and mental and behavioral disorders admitted to Beijing Changping District Hospi-tal of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine were simple randomly selected as the research objects.Ac-cording to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with memantine,and the observation group was treated with memantine com-bined with quetiapine fumarate.The therapeutic effect,cognitive function,quality of life and safety of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 96.00%(48/50)higher than 84.00%(42/50)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.000,P<0.05).After 2 months and 3 months of treatment,the cognitive function of the observation group was better than that of the control group,and the difference were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After treatment,the living ability score of the control group was lower than that of the observation group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with Alzheimer's disease with mental and behavior dis-orders,memantine combined with and quetiapine fumarate can improve the patient's intelligence level to a certain ex-tent,steadily improve the patient's self-care ability,and has high safety.
