Effect of Tobramycin Dexamethasone Eye Drops Treatment on the Levels of Inflammatory Factors in Patients with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction-Related Dry Eye Disorders
Objective To analyze the effects of tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops on the levels of inflammatory fac-tors in patients with meibomian gland dysfunction associated with dry eye.Methods A total of 80 patients with meibo-mian gland dysfunction related dry eye treated in Liaoyuan People's Hospital from November 2022 to November 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects,and were divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with erythromycin ointment,and the observation group was treated with tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops.Clinical efficacy,levels of inflamma-tory factors,eye function scores and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%(39/40)higher than that of the control group 80.00%(32/40),the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.507,P<0.05).After treatment,the level of inflammatory factors in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The tear film rupture time of observation group was longer than that of control group,the tear secretion was more than that of control group,and the corneal fluorescein staining score was lower than that of control group,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse events between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the clinical treatment of patients with meibomian gland dys-function associated with dry eye,the use of tobramycin dexamethasone eye drops can improve the inflammatory re-sponse and relieve ocular symptoms quickly.
