Clinical Efficacy Analysis of Betahistine Hydrochloride Combined with Flunarizine in the Treatment of Acute Vertigo
Objective To study the clinical value of combination therapy of betahistine hydrochloride and flunarizine in patients with acute vertigo. Methods In this study,60 patients with acute vertigo treated in Minhou County People's Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were randomly selected as the study objects, and were divided into con-trol group and observation group according to different treatment methods, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with betahistine hydrochloride, and the observation group was treated with flunarizine hydrochloride capsule based on the control group. The total incidence of adverse reactions, vertigo score, curative effect and symp-tom disappearance time of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in the total inci-dence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The vertigo scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 1 d,3 d,5 d,10 d and 14 d after treatment, and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(all P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment the observation group was 96.67%(29/30),higher than that of the control group 73.33%(22/30),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.706,P=0.030).The time of symptom disappearance in observation group was shorter than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination therapy of betahistine hydrochloride and flunarizine hydrochloride capsule has great effect and high safety in the treatment of patients with acute vertigo.
