Effect of Surgical Timing on the Therapeutic Effect of Acute Appendicitis
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of different surgical treatment time on patients with acute ap-pendicitis.Methods The clinical data of 180 patients with acute appendicitis admitted to Xiamen Haicang Hospital from October 2020 to September 2022 were retrospectively selected. All patients underwent laparoscopic appendec-tomy.According to the different operation time, they were divided into early operation group(n=97,the time from on-set to operation≤24 h)and late operation group(n=83,the time from onset to operation>24 h).The hospitalization time, operation time, incidence of postoperative infection incidence of postoperative complications and blood routine index were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of postoperative complications was 8.25%(8/97)in the early operation group and 24.10%(20/83)in the late operation group, and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=8.553,P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative infection in early operation group was lower than that in late operation group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The operation time and hospital stay in the early operation group were shorter than those in the late operation group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(both P<0.05).On the 1st and 3rd days after operation, the level of routine blood indexes in the early operation group was better than that in the late operation group, and the difference was statistically significant(both P<0.05).Conclusions For patients with acute appendicitis, early operation treatment has a better therapeutic effect, which can reduce the length of hospital stay and postoperative complications, and reduce the length of hospital stay.
