Value of Mometasone Furoate Nasal Spray Combined with Clarithromycin in the Treatment of Chronic Sinusitis
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with clarithromycin in patients with chronic sinusitis.Methods A total of 96 patients with chronic sinusitis admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in Shishi General Hospital from January 2021 to September 2022 were conveniently selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was treated with clarithromycin,and the observation group was treated with mometasone furoate nasal spray combined with clarithromycin.The clinical symptom scores,adverse drug reactions and serum indexes of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the nasal congestion,head-ache,purulentnasal discharge,olfactory weakening scores of the two groups were lower than those before intervention,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse drug reactions between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).Before intervention,there was no significant difference in serum index levels between the two groups(P>0.05);after intervention,the levels of serum indexes in the two groups were lower than those before in-tervention,the levels of interleukin-17,interleukin-1β and the ratio of neutrophils to lymphocytes in the observation group were(28.47±7.83)pg/mL,(14.67±3.56)pg/mL and(2.75±0.62),respectively,which were lower than those in the control group(45.00±9.70)pg/mL,(19.63±5.22)pg/mL and(3.58±0.67),the differences were statistically significant(t=9.187,5.439,6.299;all P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic sinusitis,the treatment of mometasone fu-roate nasal spray combined with clarithromycin can effectively improve the clinical symptoms,improve the curative ef-fect,and optimize the serum indexes of patients.
