Effect of Narrative Nursing on Self-Perceived Burden and Quality of Life in Patients with Primary Brain Tumor
Objective To explore the effect of narrative nursing on self-perceived burden and quality of life in patients with primary brain tumors.Methods A total of 88 patients with primary brain tumors admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Huizhou from February 2023 to January 2024 were conveniently selected as the research objects.They were divided into study group(44 cases)and control group(44 cases)according to different nursing methods.The con-trol group was given routine nursing,while the study group was given narrative nursing on the basis of routine nursing.The self-perceived burden scale and quality of life scores of the two groups were compared.Results After nursing,the self-perceived burden scores of the two groups were lower than those before nursing,the physical burden(13.11±2.53)points,emotional burden(12.88±3.43)points,economic burden(6.78±1.67)points and total score(29.37±4.67)points of the study group were lower than those of the control group(15.89±2.78)points,(15.87±2.89)points,(8.67±1.99)points,(38.56±5.74)points,the differences were statistically significant(t=4.843,4.379,4.760,8.122;all P<0.05).Af-ter nursing,the quality of life scores of the two groups were better than those before nursing.The scores of psychologi-cal function,physical function,social function and material life status in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of narrative nursing for primary brain tumor patients is beneficial to reduce patients'self-perceived burden and improve patients'quality of life,which is worth promoting.
