Application of Jianpi Yishen Zengye Decoction in Elderly Patients with Chronic Functional Constipation and its Effect on Intestinal Neurotrans-mitters
Objective To investigate the application of Jianpi Yishen Zengye Decoction in elderly patients with chronic functional constipation(CFC)and its effect on intestinal neurotransmitters.Methods A total of 70 patients with CFC diagnosed in Xiamen Tong'an District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to January 2024 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was given routine symptomatic treatment,and the observation group was given Jianpi Yishen Zengye decoction on the basis of the control group.The efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome evaluation,defecation status and intestinal neurotransmitter levels were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 94.29%(33/35),which was higher than 77.14%(27/35)in the control group,and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(χ2=4.200,P=0.040).After treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes(shortness of breath after sweating,difficulty in defecation,fatigue after defecation and tiredness of limbs)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After treat-ment,the defecation time and frequency of the observation group were less than those of the control group,and the dif-ferences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After treatment,the level of intestinal neurotransmitters in the ob-servation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Con-clusion Jianpi Yishen Zengye Decoction can improve the therapeutic effect of elderly patients with CFC,effectively improve the constipation symptoms and defecation status of patients,and regulate intestinal neurotransmitters.
