Evaluation and Analysis of the Effect of Low-Temperature Plasma Radio-frequency Ablation in the Treatment of Pediatric Snoring
Objective To investigate the efficacy of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of snoring in children. Methods A total of 100 children with snoring admitted to Lianjiang County General Hospital from January 2022 to March 2024 were randomly selected as the research objects.According to different surgical methods, they were divided into study group and control group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with adenoidectomy and bilateral tonsillectomy, and the study group was treated with low temperature plasma radiofre-quency ablation. The clinical indexes, inflammatory factor levels and ventilation function of the two groups were com-pared.Results The operation time(24.92±2.07)min,symptom relief time(6.08±1.22)d and hospitalization time(5.29±1.26)d in the study group were shorter than those in the control group(41.70±4.25)min,(9.50±2.23)d,(7.48±1.14)d,and the intraoperative blood loss(12.29±2.32)mL was lower than that in the control group(31.23±4.16)mL,the differ-ences were statistically significant(t=25.099,9.514,9.114,28.117;all P<0.05).At 2 weeks after operation, the levels of inflammatory factors in the two groups were lower than those before operation, and those in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).At 6 months after op-eration,the ventilation function of the two groups was better than that before operation. The respiratory disturbance in-dex,oxygen reduction index and the longest apnea time in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion The application of low temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation can reduce the degree of postoperative inflammatory injury in children, improve their ventila-tion function and accelerate their recovery.
