Correlation Study between H-Type Hypertension,Blood Lipids,Homocys-teine Level and Severity of Leukoaraiosis
Objective To study the correlation between H-type hypertension, blood lipid levels[serum total choles-terol(TC),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)],homocysteine level(Hcy)and the severity of leukoaraiosis. Methods A total of 108 patients with leukoaraiosis ad-mitted to Sanming First Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 were conveniently selected as the study objects.According to the severity of leukoaraiosis, the patients were divided into mild group(n=35),moderate group(n=47)and severe group(n=26).The relevant clinical data and serum indexes of patients among different groups were com-pared,and the correlation between the severity of leukoaraiosis and H-type hypertension, blood lipids and homocyste-ine level was analyzed. Results The proportion of H-type hypertension in the mild group was the lowest at 14.29%(5/35),followed by 27.66%(13/47)in the moderate group and the highest at 84.62%(22/26)in the severe group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in TC,HDL-C and LDL-C levels among the three groups(all P>0.05).The TG levels in the mild group, moderate group and severe group were(1.11±0.19)mmol/L,(1.34±0.21)mmol/L and(1.83±0.25)mmol/L respectively, and the difference was statisti-cally significant(F=85.970;P<0.05).The Hcy levels in the mild group, moderate group and severe group were(10.26±2.71)μmol/L,(13.94±3.13)μmol/L and(18.35±3.62)μmol/L respectively, and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(F=49.937;P<0.05).Multivariate regression analysis showed that age,H-type hypertension,TG and Hcy were the main risk factors affecting the severity of leukoaraiosis(all P<0.001).Multifactor ordered Logistic regression analy-sis showed that age,H-type hypertension,TG and Hcy levels were correlated with the severity of leukoaraiosis and in-creased with the increase of disease severity, and the differences were statistically significant(r=0.563,0.520,0.475,0.402;all P<0.001).Conclusion Age,H-type hypertension, triglyceride and homocysteine levels are risk factors for leukoaraiosis. The age,H-type hypertension,TG and Hcy levels were correlated with the severity of leukoaraiosis.
