The Application of Mifepristone in Patients with Perimenopausal Dysfunc-tional Uterine Bleeding and Its Impact on Their Sex Hormone Levels
Objective To study the clinical value of mifepristone in the treatment of perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding.Methods A total of 116 patients with perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding(referred to as dysfunctional uterine bleeding)admitted to Fuqing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from January 2023 to Decem-ber 2023 were conveniently selected as the research objects.According to different medication regimens,they were di-vided into control group and observation group,with 58 cases in each group.The control group was treated with pro-gesterone drugs,and the observation group was treated with mifepristone drugs.The treatment cycle was 3 menstrual cycles.The clinical effects,sex hormone levels,endometrial thickness and hemoglobin levels,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was 96.55%(56/58)higher than that in the control group 86.21%(50/58),and the difference was statistically signifi-cant(χ2=3.940,P<0.05).After 3 menstrual cycles of treatment,the hormone levels of the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).After 3 menstrual cycles of treatment,the endometrial thickness of the two groups was lower than that before treatment,and the observation group was lower than that of the control group;the hemoglobin levels of the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the obser-vation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Mifepristone can treat perimenopausal dysfunctional uterine bleeding,which can more effectively reduce sex hormone levels,improve hemoglobin reduction,and have fewer adverse drug reactions.
