Effect Evaluation of Modified Sishengyin in the Treatment of Senile De-pression
Objective To study the effect of modified Sishengyin in the treatment of elderly patients with depression.Methods A total of 70 elderly patients with depression admitted to the Quanzhou Third Hospital from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research objects.They were divided into two groups according to different treatment plans,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Shugan Jieyu Capsule,and the observation group was treated with modified Sishengyin on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for 8 weeks.The therapeutic effect,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)score,neu-rotransmitter level and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.14%(34/35),which was higher than 77.14%(27/34)in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.590,P=0.032).After 8 weeks of treatment,the scores of traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and SDS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the neurotransmitter level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Con-clusion The treatment of elderly patients with depression with modified Sishengyin can improve the clinical efficacy,improve the level of neurotransmitters,reduce traditional Chinese medicine syndromes and depressive symptoms,and have good safety.
