Poetics in Translation and Translator's Subjectivity
Both literary and non-literary works can contain certain poetic elements.Translation,as a cross-cultural practical activity,is the carrier of the process of interaction between poetics and translator's subjectivity and the centralized manifestation of the final translation as well.In the process of translation, poetics is not only one of the influencing factors for translators to choose, understand, and express texts, but also exists as an object for translators to choose, understand, and express texts. Therefore, poetics is a dialectical unity of actor and recipient. The translator's subjectivity runs through various stages of translation selection, understanding, and expression, and is a dialectical unity of actor and recipient. The subjectivity of translators has gone through a gradual process of manifestation, from"shading"to"removing shading".Translators are not always adept at the interaction between activity and passivity, and sometimes they may go astray. This requires translators to have comprehensive poetic abilities,be good at grasping the degree of translator subjectivity, and not stick to conventions or be arbitrary.Instead, they should approach source language poetics infinitely on the basis of dynamic adjustment.
