Imbalance of Modern Agricultural Commercialization Development and the Diversified Choices of Crop Planting:From the perspective of the Yishu River Basin
The Yishu River basin had developed railway and water transportation, and the planting area and output proportion of grain crops were relatively high. However, most counties in the basin did not include major grain crops such as wheat in the field of agricultural commercialization, and a situation of self-sufficiency in grain cultivation emerged. This reason is closely related to the poor agricultural cultivation environment in the Yishu River basin, low total crop yields of grain crops, and high commercial grain purchase costs. The Yishu River basin has implemented a low commodity agricultural commercialization development model, which is to plant high commercial value crops such as peanuts on a limited cultivation area, and most agricultural areas still rely on self-sufficient food crops. This model not only reflects the fragility and uncertainty of China's foreign agricultural commodity trade in modern times, but also objectively plays a historical role in protecting the stability of agricultural production in the Yishu River basin.
