Achievements and Experiences about the Development and Utilization of Water Resources in Tianjin
Tianjin is located in the northeast of North China Plain,and the lower reaches of Haihe River basin.Affected by the natural conditions,it is a flood and drought disaster prone area.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,especially since the"radical control of Haihe"in 1963,the people of Tianjin,under the leadership of the Party and the government,have benefited and eliminated harm,which has greatly improved the ability to resist flood and drought disasters and promoted the rational utilization of water resources.In this paper,the history of water resources development in Tianjin was introduced,the great achievements of water resources development and utilization in Tianjin were expounded from three aspects of water resources allocation engineering,water-saving society construction and water resources management system,the benefits of water resources development and utilization were analyzed.Also,the experiences were summarized,and the matters that should be pay attention to the future development and utilization were puts forward.
