Template Quantity Extraction Application Based on Revit Secondary Development
To address the issues of complex and cumbersome quantity measurement in traditional template projects and to meet the demand for rapid extraction of BIM model quantities,a method for extracting concrete template quantities was proposed in this paper, based on the secondary development using the Revit application programming interface(API).By integrating the template measurement and statistical process with the visual advantages of BIM,interactive template statistics were achieved. This extraction process of template quantity could be associated with the three-dimensional model to realize real-time mapping, and was exemplified by the case of a sluice pier.A comparative analysis with traditional measurement methods demonstrated that this plugin offered higher efficiency and better visualization. It effectively avoided rework caused by data ambiguity during the quantity measurement process.Additionally,it stored quantities in the model as digital assets by creating parameter labels. This plugin not only enhanced measurement accuracy and timeliness, but also provided a technical reference for further expanding BIM cost management applications throughout the project lifecycle.
