With the rapid innovation and upgrading of global network information technology,as well as the fast evolution of information infrastructure,IPv4 addresses are no longer sufficient to meet the growing demands of the internet.Accelerating the deployment of the next-generation internet based on Internet Protocol version 6(IPv6)has become an urgent requirement to promote the construction of a strong network country. This paper explores several commonly used IPv6 address allocation methods for terminals and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages. It also examines the potential challenges associated with different allocation methods.Through these discussions and analyses, this study provides valuable references for the scientific allocation of IPv6 addresses in similar local area networks.
