In order to solve the problem of escaping drowning animals, the basic principle of bend circulation is used for slope protection design in bends. To further explore the characteristics of bend water flow, this article uses ANSYS FLUENT fluid simulation software to simulate bend water flow, and studies the flow characteristics of bend water flow at 60°,90°,and 120° bending angles. The following conclusions are drawn:①the flow velocity on convex banks is greater than that on concave banks at different bending angles, and the closer it is to the vertex of convex banks, the greater the flow velocity;②The larger the bend angle, the higher the intensity of the bend circulation, and the more stable the overall flow pattern;③Under different bending angles, the static pressure on the concave bank side is significantly greater than that on the convex bank, and as the bending angle increases, the static pressure on the concave bank shows a decreasing trend.Based on the simulation results of the flow characteristics in the above bend, slope protection structures were designed for the concave and convex banks, and the concave bank side was used as the escape channel for falling animals, ultimately forming an asymmetric slope protection structure on the left and right banks based on the flow characteristics of the bend.
