Spatiotemporal Changes of Planktonic Algae in Zhangze Reservoir from 2018 to 2022 Based on Sentinel-2 Images
Based on Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI),the dynamic changes of algae in Zhangze Reservoir from March to November during 2018-2022 were investigated in order to understand the spatiotemporal variation of algae. In addition, combined with the measured plankton algae and water quality data of Zhangze Reservoir, the environmental factors affecting the temporal and spatial changes of algae were analyzed. The results show that combining NDVI with hydrological and water quality data can effectively reflect the spatial and temporal variation of algae in Zhangze reservoir. The dominant genera of plankton algae in Zhangze Reservoir showed significant differences between 2018-2020 and 2021-2022.Algal biomass and algal cell density peaked in 2019 and 2022,respectively.The annual spatiotemporal variation of algae biomass in the reservoir during 2018-2022 was similar, which could be basically divided into six stages of"three down and three up".The annual variation of algae biomass in Zhangze Reservoir is closely related to flood season hydraulic disturbance, and affected by many factors such as temperature and nutrient salt.
