Analysis of precipitation characteristics and water vapor sources in the East of Hexi Corridor
Precipitation characterstics and water vapor source in the east of Hexi corridor were investigated by continuous collection of precipitation samples. The chemical characteristics of precipitation constant ion from 3 July,2013 to 3 July,2014 in the east of Hexi Corridor were analyzed using the correlation analysis, factor analysis, enrichment factor and HYSPLIT model. The results showed that the pH value for the east of Hexi corridor was between 6.86 and 8.71,and the electrical conductivity of the precipitation samples was between 78.42 and 502.50 μS· cm-1.Ca2+,Na+ Cl-NO3-and SO42-were the major ions in precipitation. The concentrations of Ca2+ and Na+accounted for 77.43% of the total cation concentration, while Cl-NO3-and SO42-accounted for 99.12% of the total anion concentration. The order of the cation concentration was Ca2+ >Na+ >NH4+ >K+>Mg2+,the order of anion was SO42->NO3->Cl->NO2->F-.The lowest total ion concentration in atmospheric precipitation occured in the summer (50.61 μeq· L-1),and higher concentration of ion in the spring and winter season.Concentration in the spring was the highest (115.45 μeq·L-1).The highest concentration of each ion appeared between March and July.Ion precipitation in the eastern part of the Hexi corridor was mainly controlled by terrestrial, industrial and agricultural production, and human activities. The influence of sea salt ions is very low.
