Environmental Capacity of Heavy Metals in Groundwater in Yanqi Basin,Xinjiang
The concentration of Cd,Cr,Cu,Mn,Ni and Zn were determined in 67 groups of groundwa-ter samples from Yanqi Basin,Xinjiang, the characteristics of heavy metal pollution and environmental capacity of groundwater were analyzed by pollution load index(PLI)and groundwater environmental capacity index(Qd).The results showed that the average concentration of Cr,Cu,Mn and Zn in groundwater in Yanqi Basin were lower than Class Ⅲ quality standards in"Standard for Groundwater Quality"(GB/T 14848-2017),the aver-age concentration of Cd and Ni were 1.40 times and 1.15 times of Class Ⅲ quality standards, respectively. The average pollution index of each heavy metal in groundwater of the study area was arranged in descending or-der as Mn,Cd,Ni,Cr,Zn,Cu,and its PLI ranged from 0.30 to 0.57,with an average of 0.39,showing that the groundwater was uncontaminated. The average environmental capacity index of heavy metals was ranked from large to small as Cu,Zn,Cr,Mn,Ni,Cd,with Cu having the largest environmental capacity and Cd having the smallest. The spatial distribution pattern of the environmental capacity of six heavy metals in groundwater was different.
